jbtremble Posted June 23, 2023 Report Share Posted June 23, 2023 I am in the early stages of researching Hot Tubs and I had a question about noise and specifically the Aquaterra hot tubs sold by CostCo. I understand that some hot tubs have a small dedicated circulation pump, while others use one of the main pumps on low speed for circulation. My understanding is the the Aquaterra has the latter. Does this pump run at low speed all the time, or does it come on every so often? If it is every so often, how loud is it? I'm asking because we stayed at an Airbnb this summer that had a hot tub and once an hour one of it's main pumps ran. It was horribly loud! I ended up turning off the breaker each night before going to bed. In our current house, the hot tub will be right outside our bedroom, and I don't want to run into a similar problem. Thanks! cranbiz Posted June 24, 2023 Report Share Posted June 24, 2023 The pump is supposed to run on a schedule set by you. It can be 2x2hours 2x4hours, 2x6hours, 2x8hours or continuous.
