revisto
I just set up my Coleman Saluspa inflatable hot tub and need advice on chemical usage. I have ordered Bromine tablets, I have a floater for them and need to know about the shock treatment. I bought the shock granules and could use some advice as to when and how much to use because the manual has very small print. Thanks. Cusser
I've been using bromine tablets in a floater in my hard-shell CalSpa since back in 1988. With a water change, I add sodium bromide powder, about an ounce per each 400 gallons of water. I adjust the pH with sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, and use floater for the bromine tablets. I shock about every two weeks with a little MONO-PEROXIDE oxidizer (non-chlorine oxidizer). I don't use other chemicals, except some Leak Seal once or twice a year when needed, as I've got an inaccessible leak.

Cusser
I use less than one ounce of monopersulfate. I buy that through the Internet, pool stores here in Arizona are practically monopolized by Leslie's, and pretty expensive. On a 3-mile stretch of a major road here, there are 4 Leslie stores, one on each major corner.
