Juliesspa
We inherited a QCA spa when we moved into a new house this summer. It had been working just fine and we really enjoyed using it. There is a Gecko Aeware In.Clear bromine salt generator installed on it. This last week we cleaned the system, drained the spa, cleaned it thoroughly, then refilled it. We also cleaned the filter. We balanced the water and then added the Bromicharge as required (6.6 lbs - we have a 550 gallon hot tub). We have the maintenance mode set to 23 and the filter hours to 9 (which is what we had been using all summer and fall). The bromine will not generate, however, and we keep getting errors. Sometimes it is an ERR error and sometimes it is a LO err. We can't even push the "boost" button, as it is flashing "ERR" or "LO, " nor can we even turn the system off without pulling the breaker. When we run the diagnostics, it will go through them and the leaf and the Lo lights will light up. The manual says that both error messages require that we add more Bromicharge. However, we have added about another 2.5-3 lbs worth and it still is saying the same thing, and I am afraid we have just dumped even more money down the drain. Does anyone have any advice on what our next steps are? The manual doesn't give much more guidance. I've contacted Gecko Alliance through the support website but no one has written me back, and I can't find a phone number. The system seems to operate just as it did prior to our cleaning/refilling, other than the bromine not generating. Here is an example of the ERR message. Mark Cottey
Hi I have a similar problem . My hot tub is new as of early April and has a water volume of 900 ltrs . The bromicharge container states use 1100 gms or half the container which I have done. I ended up having to put all 2200 gms before the message to add more bromicharge stopped being displayed. The company that sold me the hot tub thought that was odd but told me to see what it was like when I did my next water change . I’ve just done this today and exactly the same thing is happening . My display is different to yours I have the i1000. I’ve sensed and engineer an E mail and have left the hot tub with the correct quality of bromicharge in the water as it’s expensive to buy. If you get a response off the manufacturer please could you let me know. I will do the same if any joy from the supplier
