caveman-travel Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Hello, I am replacing the redwood skirt and the underlying framework on my 15 year old spa. The redwood held up well with average care, but has gone past looking "acceptible". I am pretty handy carpentry wise, so the frame work is no big challenge. I am planning to convert from the original redwood to synthetic skirting. I do not seem to be able to find a source for this material. Can anyone help? Thank you, Tim Quote
Richs100 Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 I was just talking to my dealer who was telling me that the Canadian company that makes the spa siding for Hot Spring and Sundance has entered into a distribution deal with Home Depot so that homeowners can buy matching siding for decking and such. You may want to check with Home Depot about this. Rich Quote
hottub.pool_boy Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 We sell it. It's not cheap, small spas around $800. to $1,200 for large ones. We've seen some use regular house-type vinyl siding. A bit tacky though, but maintenance free. Quote
JoeM Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 I would imagine that maintenance free (synthetic) decking would work pretty well. I think they even make tongue and groove synthetic decking. The only downside is coming up with something for the corners. Quote
