germ79
Hello there! I own a pool business and have always used sodium hypochlorite until last season. I tried dichlor granules since they are not as messy, but it was to my own demise, as last season was much more "chemically difficult" than previous years. I am going to switch back to liquid chlorine, but am curious how other people transport it. We usually purchase it in 5 gal. carbouys. We were thinking about getting a simple metal trailer to haul it, but I know it will be rusted out in a couple years. What do you all use? Thank you SO much for your input! Jerry Materne
Don't know but remembering what I'm about to tell you will keep you out of jail. If you're transporting chlorine, anything over 500 pounds requires you to have a hazmat endorsement and you have to know how to pack and placard it according to 49 CFR. Remember, 500 lbs, NOT 500 GALLONS. Jerry Materne
