JackieK
Hi guys it’s JACKIE again. My hot tub keep say LC I know that means low flow. A couple of times the water might have been down some but I’ve been trying to keep an eye on it and it will go up sometimes if I hit the jets or sometimes if I turn breaker off and then back on. Most of the time I have to try to keep the jets on to try to make temp go up. ‘I’ve cleaned filter and added water I don’t know why it is still coming on any help out therefor me. I have tried to figure it out but have had no luck. Thanks for all of your help.
RDspaguy
To my knowledge, LC is not a balboa error code. IC is ice, and indicates low water temp and could turn on high speed pump. LF is low flow on some models, and FL on others. So are you sure what it says?
JackieK
Ok so maybe it is an IC. The water limit is good and it isn’t freezing here(not normally anyway).
RDspaguy
If it is an IC error then one of your sensors has detected a low temperature. I think it's around 50*f that it triggers, but I could be wrong. If the sensors are good and not exposed to cold, then you have a bad board. JackieK
How do I check the sensors. I pray not board it’s new. Merry Christmas also
RDspaguy
Turn off power, unplug sensors from board and take a resistance reading. If your ohm meter is adjustable, you will want it in the 20k ohm setting. Post results. You might try reversing the sensors at the board and see if it acts differently. Merry Christmas to you as well.
JackieK
Hate to ask but where are my sensors located? I’m a newbie at all this.
JackieK
Are my sensors where the red, white and, green wires goi in
RDspaguy
The black plastic nuts sticking up on each end of the metal heater tube are the sensors. Follow the gray cables to the plugs on the board. Depress the tiny tab on top to release the plug.
