What's needed for iAqualink RS upgrade?

have a Jandy Aqualink RS PCB with a variable Jandy Pump. Problem is my Jandy 8227 remote is a pain in the ass. It's slow and only works 10% of the time (select function doesn't work, just scrolls through different screens). This is my second remote and don't feel like making it a 3rd.

I want to upgrade to Wifi enabled phone system via iAqualink app. What do I need to purchase to make this work? I've received quotes from 700-1500, not sure why such a discrepancy, the pros are being vague on details of what's needed or I'm just not getting why it's so much.

Can you guys let me know what i need to buy (which PCB circuit and wifi aqualink)? Model #s please

Is this something I can or get an electrician to install or do it myself?

I added a couple pictures of my current system

Sorry if it's a double post, I originally put it in the wrong subsection...

This gives installation instructions. Please note that there is a limited number of connections on an aqualink board. Depending how many devices are wired to comm and how many comm connections you have on your board, you may need a new board.

That is your price discrepancy. One estimate includes a new board.

Determine if you have an open comm connection (there can be 2 wires in each terminal of the comm plug) and order what you need. Google has lots of shopping options either way.

Good luck.
