It took about 30 minutes to drain spa do took sump pump out and went inside for about 20-25 minutes then realized I never shut it off so ran out and killed the power at breaker box. MGunz85 Posted March 29, 2020 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2020 I have a six person Jacuzzi spa and when I drained it I just threw in a portable sump pump to suck all the water out. RDspaguy Posted March 30, 2020 Report Share Posted March 30, 2020 It is better you did it the way you did, at least in this case. You will probably be fine. Jacuzzi Premium spas use a flow switch for heater control, so it is unlikely the heater fried. The pumps are better off that you did not use the drain, there is still some water in there so your seals are probably ok. The circulation pump is your big worry, as it may have locked the impeller and damaged the motor, but it may not. Only way to tell is to fill it up and turn it on.
