MooseMJM
Hi All, We have a hot springs hot tub and we just installed it. Everything is wired correctly, however something is cause the grounds to hot and also the hot tub panel to be hot. What could the possible reasons that the panel and ground wires would be hit with electricity? Could the movers have hurt something that is cause this? Thank you! Jersey Hot Tub Repair
Are you seeing a leakage current, or are you getting 230Volts to your grounds? If it's leakage current, the GFCI should be tripping. If not, something is wrong with your GFCI. If your ground wires have 220 volts, they aren't wired correctly. The problem may be in the electrical disconnect box or in the spa pack... I'd call back the licensed electrician who did the work and get him to recheck it. Hotsprings has very specific wiring instructions, both in the manual and on the inside cover of the IQ2020 box. Make sure your contractor didn't send one of his "apprentices" who wasn't sure what he was doing. Dave
