Hotspring hot spot - Relay

I purchased a Hotspring Hotspot Relay hot tub last April. It is very nice but our dealer did not stress the noise it makes during filtering cycles. Its ok during the day, but we are having a hard time sleeping as it goes through the filtering cycle every now and then during the night. Does anyone know when/why the filtering cycle starts (is it when the water cools or just on random?) Would it be possible to shorten the filtering cycle period to its minimum to get a good night sleep? Can anyone here help me on this matter?

Your spa does have a few programmable features that allow you to schedule when it runs and for how long.  You will find these instructions on page 16 in your owner's manual. They are referred to as the filter cycles and the sleep mode.

Thank you for your reply. But the Sleep Mode is only availible on the SX and TX models, not on the Relay. But I gather that F1 controls the filter cycle for the first 12 hours and F2 for the next 12 hours. So if I set f.ex. F1 to 1 and F2 to 0, then I will have a 1 hour filtering cycle for the first 12 hours of every 24 hour, making it tolerable. Is this a correct understanding of how the filtering controls works?

Your Hot Spot Relay definitely does have a sleep/economy mode that you can set up to avoid filtering at night. You do also have the ability to decrease or increase the duration of each cycle to get it just right.

Yes, it seems that it is availible on our Relay. However on our manual (European version) it says on page 16 that sleep mode is "optional on SX and TX models only" which I understood that it is only availible on the SX and TX models. But I guess that I did not undrestand that correctly?

Hopefully this will still have some visibility, since there has been no activity on this forum for 6+ years.

Regarding this Sleep Mode, how does the spa know when it is 8:00 pm or 8:00 am to activate/deactivate the sleep mode?  Is there a way to set the time on this model?

Even when I set the sleep mode, I seem to still hear the spa running overnight.

start a new thread with your question. It will have a much better chance of getting answered. As you said this is a 6 year old thread and basically dead.
