jpaynex
I am a new home owner with an eight year old system and my EasyTouch system is not turning off the pump on schedule and will not let me turn it off from the remote. I had to switch from Auto mode to Service mode to turn it off. It has previously functioned with no issue but overnight temperatures have dropped below freezing the past two days. Can anyone help with this issue or point me in the right direction before I call out service? Pool Clown
It is possible that you are in "freeze protection" mode. You should let it "do its thing" and it will return to normal operation when the temps rise, usually around 38°. You can disable the freeze protection, but i wouldn't advise doing so. If you are concerned about energy use, you can either disable your regular program and let the freeze protection run time be your daily run, or you can change your program to run at the same time as the freeze protection would run. Typically between 4 to 5 am to a couple hours past sunrise.
