Rossi234
Hi guys, first post here and I am a bit stumped. QCA spa I have had since 2004. No issues I could not repair until now. I drained and refilled the tub to change out the water last weekend (I do this monthly). Everything seemed fine and I went to go in 3-4 days later. Temp was only 91. Heat indicated was on steady, no error codes, jets seemed fine. I figured it may have air locked, but it has never done this before so I burped it at the pump union. Still no rise. Next step was the filter. I removed it and let it run and the temperature shot right up to 104 in a few hours. Thought I had it so I replaced the filter, which was fairly new and pretty clean. Came back a couple of days later and I am at 97. Temp set for 104. Water temp is accurate at 97. What could suddenly cause the presence of a filter (new or older) to restrict the heat? I should also note that I checked all the settings and the circ pump is running 12+ hours per day, not on economy mode, and both speeds on the pumps seem to have normal flow through all jets. i replaced the heating element 3 years ago, and both pumps are witching 2-4 years old. Any ideas?
Dr. Spa
Pressure switch vibrated out of adjustment?
Rossi234
Thanks for the reply. I just rotated the pressure switch wheel adjustment. It seemed tight and unlikely to move, but I will see what happens. I also checked all wires to switch, sensor, etc. all look good,. I also shut off breaker and turned on to reset everything.
