Jayar
I recently purchased a house with a Hot Spring Flair spa and the LED's aren't working. The date of manufacture tag shows October of 2008. A technician looked at it and told me this was the first year this model was introduced and there were problems with the lights. He said the manufacturer recommends replacing all the LED's and the lighting assemblies. He mentioned there was a recall on these LED's, but the manufacturer would only cover the replacement for the first 3 years. That didn't sound right to me so I checked with the manufacturer and sure enough, they wouldn't assist with the replacement of these LED's and wouldn't admit to any issue with the LED's. I have read many reviews that seem to confirm manufacture defects with these LED's on these spas manufactured in 2008. Now that the manufacturer won't stand by their product and manufacture defects, I have to resolve the issue on my own. The LED's and assemblies cost $20 each and there are 30 of them to replace. It is going to cost almost $1000 including labor to get them all replaced. I would like others to be aware of the issue I am having with this spa and with the manufacturer. I attempted to submit a similar review on the manufacturers website but it wasn't posted. The spa looks really nice when the lights are working in the videos I have seen. Does anyone know of any other issues with these Limelight spas that were manufactured in 2008?
Dr. Spa
Warranties are NOT transferable. Hence since you're not the original purchaser, there is no warranty to honor.
Jayar
The original owner had a problem with the lights a couple of years ago and unfortunately the authorized dealer only replaced the one light instead of all of them like the manufacturer recommends. Hopefully there are no other known issues with this line of spas that was manufactured in 2008.
leonml
I have an old post I'm going to finally finish post9ing on. about this tub. I have an 07, it's junk. Don't fix it. Get rid of it and run away. You will never get rid of the light problems. They supposedly updated them, but they still are junk. I've found the heads of those lights broken off in the bottom of my tub when the tube hadn't been used for a while. It's one of many issues I had. The lights are total junk and should be a design that you replace the lights from outside the tub and have a complete sealed lens on the inside.
