D1 Chairman Recirc. Pump Issues

Hi, I have a 2004 D1 chairman spa and the recirculation pump has been replaced four times in the last two years. The recirc. pump will randomly just stop working and the pump heats up about every 6 months. The thermal protection on the pump is connected to the heater assembly and I have rewired the recirc. pump for the 120V system per D1 instructions (240V is not available anymore). The recirc. pump failure never occurs when I am refilling the spa. It's usually within a month or two the control panel lights start blinking and I see the recirc. pump not working. I have reset the GFCI main circuit breaker for one minute and even replaced the breaker with no luck. The water is crystal clear. I clean the filters and inner screen every month. The recirc. pump just went out a couple of weeks ago and I was going to have a D1 repair to diagnosis the situation in a few weeks. Low and behold, I open the spa today and the recirc. pump is working and the warning lamps have stopped blinking. The spa is working fine for now. Does anybody know what is causing the problem? Thanks for your help

There are a couple possibilities, but you are completly wrong about the pump voltages, give us a call at (800) 357-3527 and we will help you figure out, what if any issues you may have.
