davidml
I am searching for a massage/therapeutic hot tub for my roof top, which adds some interesting requirements We were originally looking at the HotSpring Aria, because we really liked the Moto-Massage DX Jet, but it turns out the Aria, at 4,700 lbs filled, it just too heavy. Here is what we are looking for: Nice massage jets Silent 24-hour operation (it will sit right above our bedroom, so this one seems a must) Under 2650lbs filled (not including weight of people) Fits as many people as possible Other add-ons are definitely a bonus (ozone, lighting effects, stereo, etc) So far I've found 3 models that might suit the bill: HotSpring JetSetter (http://www.hotspring.com/shop-hot-tub-models/jetsetter) Marquis Mirage (http://www.marquisspas.com/spa_Mirage.asp) D1 Seville (http://www.d1spas.com/hottubs/seville/spas-reflections-seville.html) My worry with the HotSpring is that we can't fit 4 (2 couples, a bare minimum) and with the others, I'm worried that the massage jets aren't great, or that it is not a silent circulation pump system. Any ideas? Am I missing any options? Thanks in advance for any help pointing me in the right direction!
Fatlip
I have a 2010 Jetsetter and love it, its just me and my wife. Really only comfortable with 2 people.
jeffinpickering
You simply aren't going to find a true 4 person tub that weighs under 2650lbs filled. All manuf. are grossly guilty of overstating the comfortable person capacity of their tubs. 6 people means more like 4. 4 means more like 2. 5 means you might get away with 3 depending on the layout. So for 4 people you're likely looking at a "6 person" tub, which typically means min. 300-350 gallons of water. The water alone weighs 2500-3000lbs, not including the weight of the tub itself (600-1000lbs), nor bathers in it.
hjames710
I have a 1994 Jetsetter, still running strong. We've squeezed 5 teenagers in it, but it's not very comfortable with more than 2-3.

Dr. Spa
Jacuzzi was not the first manufacture of portable spas. That title goes to Baja
Spa_Guru
I would think it should be more of a lbs/sq ft issue than total weight, most spas fall into the 65-100 lb/sf category regardless of brand.

Dr. Spa
Baja started selling portable spas 6 months before Jacuzzi. This is an industry fact! From their website; "Over forty years ago, when we invented the first acrylic spa, our vision was to design spas with hydrotherapy, style and comfort in mind"

While it is slightly above your specified limit, the Limelight Glow from Watkins is a 4 person spa that might fit the bill for you. Its 3515 lbs with water + 4 people so if you remove the people its 2815 lbs filled. It has good jetting action, great lighting and a circ pump. http://www.limelighthottubs.com/glow_hot_tub.html#explore-spas?id=glow-hot-tub
