soakerman
Nah, it got locked for too much Arctic bashing and I think he got banned??? If its hydrospa and lousy service and poor quality then the gloves come off but let it be a certain brand and it gets moderated........mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok
Pathfinder
I dont think that thread should have been locked or Atali banned if that is true I thought the way it went around here was a warning then suspension of use then ban. I can see both sides sort of.... Atali is quite pissed and wants it to be known and hopes at least someone wont end up in his position from said dealer Then we have the board... I can see it being an issue of brining up old Arctic threads to post his issue(may have been a bit much but w/e) shoulda only resulted in a warning. I find it kinda funny that the mention of serious litigation this post gets locked and someone uses the right to post. No offense but a mod should be impartial and excuse themselves from threads pertaining to major issues of their company.
Dr. Spa
Neither Chas nor I have ANY association with Arctic Spas. If you read the last post, you would have noticed that the decision to lock the thread was unanimous between the moderators. This was based on a number of things, not limited to, the simple volume of what really became to appear to be whining, complaining, and the appearance of an attempt at blackmail/extortion. This was also accompanied by a number (rather large) of PM's to the moderators from people on this board complaining about the same. At some point, a complaint CAN become spam. As far as warnings? Who's to say there were none? Just because there wasn't a PUBLIC posting doesn't mean a thing. The poster is NOT currently banned. I personally felt this wasn't appropriate/fair and removed the ban (sorry my brother moderators, but that's how I feel, and I GOTS THE POWER). Pathfinder
I didnt mean to come across as pointing fingers & I do know that yourself or chas are not afilliated with A But I have a question totally unrelated does Spasearch own this board??? or just pay for an affiliated link

I think you can call all the porno on here "spam". Not an upset customer with an expensive tub he cannot use.
Trigger
I'm gald he's not banned. I agree with Doc Spa. Just because it's an ugly situation, doesn't mean it's spam. Jim the jim is spam. And I challange sokerman to go a week with posting without once mentioning costco.

klt1200
Well I guess the squeaky wheel will get oil. Good for Arctic for trying to make things right with Atila (?). I guess I am going to have to put in a BBB complaint against corporate to get some action. Mine could be such an easy fix. I am a firm believer in , Do something good 1 -10 people will know - do something bad 100 -1000 people will know.
Richs100
As far as I am aware, there has not been a resolution for Atali Awa. You might want to re-read the recent posts.

There's been an unofficial offer within this forum but no resolution or settlement (no contact from the BBB or dealer)... You can see the last post on "Arctic Spa Jets - is anyone else having failures". The one thing that has not been addressed by the involved parties is the long term effects of Baqua on this particular spa. I received a PM that I had been banned from the forum... Not sure why or how I got the reprieve. I suppose I owe the moderators a thank you.

Tom
I received a PM that I had been banned from the forum... Not sure why or how I got the reprieve. I suppose I owe the moderators a thank you. Should only have been warning. I screwed up and I apologize. I discussed it afterwards with Dr. Spa and he removed it.
Richs100
I'm surprised to find that this thread is still unlocked. I thought it would have been closed along with the other casualties of the "Artic Freeze" we recently had here. For what it's worth, in the past I have understood and respected the decisions of the moderators on this board. (I don't understand why Jim-the-Jim hasn't been banned, but that's another subject) However, given recent events, I am puzzeled as to why a moderator who has a vested interest in the subject spa company is permitted to participate in (or even spearhead) the decision to lock a thread and/or ban a poster (albeit, in this case, temporarily). In my own opinion, it just doesn't look good at all. In an effort to avoid this appearance of unfairness or bias, I suggest that in such cases, the other moderators should be the ones to review the situtation and make the decision. I hope this doesn't get me banned, but I just thought it needed to be said.

The subject dealer has a new sales manager who has contacted me and offered to replace the spa and the chemicals. We just had a very productive telephone conversation and will be meeting tomorrow morning to finalize the details. We also share a common goal in wanting to mend our relationship. Stay tuned... I'll keep you posted!!!
