Pipe Size

I'm going to have an above ground pool installed next month and want to put the filter and pump about 15 feet from the pool. I'm going to dig a trench about 2 feet deep and burry PVC pipe. So I have two questions. 1ST- what size pipe should it be? I was thinking 1 1/2". 2ND- I want to put Jandy Never Lube valves just where the pipes come out of the ground at the filter location. I'm only seeing the valves as 1 1/2" on one side and 2" on the other side is this right?

The Jandy 3 way valves are also available in 2-2 1/2 as well.

You may want to throw 2" pipe in the trench instead of the 1 1/2. If you are going to be using a variable speed pump the 1 1/2 would be enough, But there will be times you may want to temporarily get a little more flow to the pool, and the 2" will be able to accommodate this higher flow for you.
