Skioutty
I'm going to have an above ground pool installed next month and want to put the filter and pump about 15 feet from the pool. I'm going to dig a trench about 2 feet deep and burry PVC pipe. So I have two questions. 1ST- what size pipe should it be? I was thinking 1 1/2". 2ND- I want to put Jandy Never Lube valves just where the pipes come out of the ground at the filter location. I'm only seeing the valves as 1 1/2" on one side and 2" on the other side is this right?
Pool Clown
The Jandy 3 way valves are also available in 2-2 1/2 as well. You may want to throw 2" pipe in the trench instead of the 1 1/2. If you are going to be using a variable speed pump the 1 1/2 would be enough, But there will be times you may want to temporarily get a little more flow to the pool, and the 2" will be able to accommodate this higher flow for you. Skioutty
The pump is two speed, I believe it's 1 1/2 HP. I plan on doing the piping tomorrow. Thanks.
