sjmmclark
We purchased a new Premium Leisure hot tub 6 months ago. All winter during the coldest nights it would maintain the set temperature now all of a sudden it will heat up with cover on but once you take the cover off and get in it won't maintain the set temperature. We checked to make sure it was in standard mode and cleaned the filter but still won't maintain heat. There are no error codes coming up and the heat light is on. So the heat element is working or it would not heat up in the first place. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong.
THE SPA GUY
when you put in the spa , are you running on 50 amp service,, if so ddid the circuit board configured for the 50 amp, some spa manufacturers can have multiple settings with a jumper on the board, like 30 40 or 50 amp setting, you may want to check were that is set... that may be why it is not keeping up with th colder temps....have you contacted your local dealer yet.... wilburn
The circuit board is configured for 50 amp and we are running on 50 amp Hi, We have just got (on Wednesday 13th April 2011) a Premium Leisure Spa (LE 850) and I have also noticed that it cannot maintain the temperature whilst in use. As with your tub, it will heat up fine with the cover one, so the heater is working, it just fails to maintain the temperature whilst on. Did you resolve your issue? Marquis de Spa
I had the same issue tonight. It was at 102 when I opened the cover and it went down to 99 in about an hour. Brand new Marquis Mirage, which is not a large tub, using 240 volt. Outside temp was 45 degrees F and wind was about 10 mph. This can't be right.
