starstrike
Hey guys I think I am going to buy a new 2010 Caldera Cantabria with all features, including the TV and speakers. Now retail price my dealer said it is $19,000. I was wondering how much would be a reasonable price I should negotiate them down to? Maybe $12,000 ?? Or is that too little? I will be paying it all at once with one check by the way.

CT-Mike
I am taking delivery on Saturday of a new (leftover) 2009 Cantabria without speakers or video and paid $9500. Hope this helps you. Mike

He simply said "retail" price I'd find out what they're asking for the spa itself and how much for the stereo and the TV separately or just start negotiating off that retail price. I asked for a price quote yesterday(June 2011) from my local dealer and got 13,500 for the tub, and 2,500 for the TV. That was his starting price and he openly said there was room for negotiation. I might try for 13k including the TV, don't know if I'll get it.

Probably he won't bite on the $13k but may nibble and besides, I never want to counter with a price where they'll just say "ok" anyway because then I'd wonder if I could have gone lower LOL. I think you're starting with a logical counter offer knowing he'll recounter as expected and then back to you, just like tennis. Just be be firm and polite. If he says no but wants to recounter I'd ask him to give me 2 prices, with and without the TV option. That way it drives home that price matters to you and he also knows you're only getting that TV if the price is right for it (and thats a pricey option for sure).
