Roger
On the Pentair Inteliflo pump, Clean and Clear Plus Filter, and Master Temp Heater. Going to retrofit a guys indoor pool from 1930's to this stuff. Good stuff, what do I need to know?
hottub.pool_boy
Pentair is great stuff, Go with a 3/4hp whisperflo (plenty of Power), oversize the filter.....you'll be fine. The whisperflo is 2" on the pump suction, if you have two suction lines, valve them to 2" pipe before the pump. All pumps require four times the pipe diameter of straight pipe before the pump. Thank for the advice but......This is an exsisting inground pool. The suction and return line are both 1 1/2". We are talking over 100 feet of head because the heater is on the other side of the hall leading to the pool. The customer wants the Intelliflow so we are installing it. One single suction 1 1/2" and one single return 1 1/2" I hope the pump don't overwhelm the lines.
hottub.pool_boy
I presume the pump is 1.5" suction. Those are neat pumps as they maximize the flow rate on their own. Big $, let us know how it works out.

Big $, let us know how it works out. I will, we installed it today but have not finished plumbing the heater, filter. Tomorrow we will fire the thing up. The customers eyes are bugging out looking at the pump. We charged about a grand for the pump. Payed about 10-15% less. He's interested in the entire Intelliflow system, pump, heater control box and remote for pool side. After we get the bugs out. Yes 1.5 suction.
