slow60
I just got a used hot tub that I am learning how to hook up. I have not been able to find an exact owners manual for it yet but I found one that I belive to be close. I took some pictures of some things that have me confused. This first picture is the Balboa instrument panel showing where to hook up the AC volts etc. Here is a side picture of the panel showing 3 different plug ins. OZONE, PUMP, and LIGHT. This picture is exactly how I received it. The pump is plugged into where it says "OZONE". What I find weird is the plugs are exaclty the same. I would think if they couldnt be crossed the plugs would be different. I also think they are color coded. Because the plug for the pump is red and so is the label. I do not know where the "ozone generator" is.. I have not been able to located the plug which I assume will be yellow. Anyone know why they would have the pump plugged into OZONE? Im guessing if it works like this then the panel distributes power the exact same for both units.... Here is a Picture of everything from more of a distance. Maybe some one here can clarify what some items are. I need to find the ozone generator and the plug for it and make sure these are in the right locations. Would the "ozone generator" be behind another panel? I have a wiring diagram that shows the ozone generator but it is only saying it has the white black and green hooked up and the pump is asking for all 4. (white black green red) So that could mean the plugs cannot be switched. Any heelp would be much appriciated.
slow60
Ok small update.. I have searched this tub and I have not found anything else besides the heater..and pump. I dont think this tub has one.. even though it says ozone generator on the back side of the removable plate. I went ahead and hooked up the pump the the label that says pump... for obvious reasons. I hope it didnt run with it plugged into ozone.. not sure what it would hurt but.. its obviously not meant to go there.. not sure why anyone wouldnt have the common sense to plug it in where it says PUMP! The spa pack can run a ozone gen, but there doesn't need to be one it is a available option. the ozone would only come on during a filter cycle so it should not have hurt anythng. I would plug the pump into the pump plug and give it a try
tlally2001
Hello I'm hoping you can help me out. I have the same balboa pack and looking for some wiring help. Where do the two black wires from the main Black wire connect to the panel? I can't tell from the pic. Any help would be amazing.
