MikeVB
Again, I'm brand new to hot tubs, etc. I just purchased a used HS Prodigy. I had an electrician put in a brand new dedicated, grounded, GFCI outlet for my 115V/20amp hot tub. Yes, the tub is more or less plugged into it continuously, but I'm just wondering.... Should it ever occur that I sell or otherwise get rid of the hot tub, what other appliances, if any, might I connect into the outlet that I've had an electrician install ostensibly just for my hot tub? In other words, what COULD I use it for and/or if I ever sell my house would I be able to tell prospective buyers, ".... and here's a dedicated outlet for a hot but; or you can use it for _____________ [huge freezer, outside dryer]...." I know my dryer in my house has a 3-prong plug where one of the prongs is perpendicular to the others, but not sure what I could plug into this hot tub outlet if I ever had an opportunity to do so. Thanks!

Thanks! You can plug anything you want into it. Hair dryer, radio, big freezer, x-mas lights. Just about anything as long as it doesn't have requirments over 20 amps. d088
You can use it just like any other outlet, but a dryer would almost definitely require more than 20 amps.
Trigger
Your outdoor 20 amp 115v GFCI plug is great for a lot of things and is a definite plus. You really can't go wrong. You could use if for just about anything with a standard plug.... electric hedge clippers, weed whackers and electric mowers. It can be used for radios, lights, fountains pumps and filters, small appliances, bug zappers, mosquito magnets, electric tools, etc. You could even run a pool filter off it.
