Vince22
Hi, I have the Taylor K2106 FAS-DPD kit. I was getting really high bromine readings (over 11ppm) and was told in another thread that it is likely due ot MPS interference with the test. I bought the Taylor kit specifically for the titration tests, so I would like to eliminate using MPS. Can someone suggest an alternative chemical for daily bromine activation? I already use 1cup bleach every two weeks or so to shock. Could I just use this? Thanks, Vince
chem geek
Yes, you can use chlorine (bleach) for bromine activation.
