pkcrowley
Hello, looking for some help. I have a leaking pump assembly at the motor shaft. I assume it is the seal but have been told the seal cannot be replaced on this model # 8564000 and a new wet end would need to be purchased which go for $350+. Does anyone know if their is a suitable brand or wetend that can replace this Jacuzzi style or if the seal can really be replaced? Any info would be awesome, thanks! Is this the Jacuzzi "clam shell" pump that has no screws to open it? If that is the case, it can't be fixed and they got you by the cajones. We used to replace them with an Aquaflow, then take the jets and put in 3/8 orifices you use a pipe tap to put the new threads in. You drill out the center of the jet and put in a normal jet insert from Hydro Air. In order to use normal jet pumps in a jacuzzi you have to change the jets to normal jets as well. Chas
Give me a call. I may have it on the shelf - I'm a former Jacuzzi dealer with some leftover parts. But I might be able to get it for you for less than the price you quoted even if I don't have it in stock. I will need to know the horsepower of the pump/motor. Wait - now how can I put a link to my site without breaking a rule? email me or PM me.
