PHEZ8050
I have just filled my tub but am not sure when to add the initial shock. Should it be immediately before I start the pump and heating cycle or once the water has reached temperature? Thanks for any advice
Nitro
I usually shock right after I get my water balanced, which usually take an hour or two. However, you can shock anytime. Just run the jets uncovered for 30mins after shocking to 10ppm.

Should it be immediately before I start the pump and heating cycle or once the water has reached temperature? Thanks for any advice Based on your shock agent (chlorine / non chlorine / biguanide)... If chlorine shock, shock minimum once a week or every 3rd use and do not get back in until the chlorine level is safe. Non chlorine shock is the same but theoretically you can get right back in the spa. I shock 1 tbsp after every use and maintain perfectly clean and clear water
