ArtesianSpaOwner
I recently paid cash for a 2009 new, fully loaded Artesian Pelican Bay cutom-order, with stereo package and upgraded lighting. I visited the factory in Las Vegas, and placed the order with a local representative from Artesian. After delivery, I did not see the stereo or speakers. The representative explained that he did not know ‘where they keep the stereo or speakers on the newer models’, assured me that the delivered spa does have a stereo, and advised me to call Artesian on the next weekday to learn about the stereo. I called Artesian, and had them run the serial number. The delivered differed from the spa I ordered in a few ways: 1) It was a 2008 model, rather than a 2009 model I ordered, 2) It did NOT have the stereo package, and 3) The corner was broken The response from the factory rep and from Artesian Spas has basically been the run-around. The representative, into whose account I paid cash, explained that I should work it out with the factory. I contacted the Artesian factory, and they explained that they choose not to get involved – that the transaction is between the representative and myself. In my opinion, this is extremely poor sales practice and customer service. They did explain that they would repair the broken corner. Has anybody else had a similar experience with Artesian Spas? Has anyone else purchased a spa from them, only to be delivered an model with lesser features? Let me know if you have.

When you refer to the "representative" are you referring to an employee of Artesian, an employee of a dealer or an independent contractor? Generally reputable spa companies sell through dealers. The dealer is responsible for the order being right, not the factory. But, it sounds like maybe you were dealing directly with the factory? So, who is this representative? SpaGuyWV
I have never heard of Artesian selling a spa through anyone other than authorized dealers. The dealers are resposible for ordering the spa with the specific options and would not have accepted a spa that was delivered without ordered options. The fact that the "rep" you speak of is telling you to take it up with Artesian is suspect. Artesian is not resposible if the dealer failed to order the correct options. As long as you have the receipt that states the options you ordered and the dealer will not cooperate, I would take them to court, have the spa picked up and fully refunded and find a reputable dealer to purchase your spa from. Hope this helps... I recently paid cash for a 2009 new, fully loaded Artesian Pelican Bay cutom-order, with stereo package and upgraded lighting.
