Heater Not Works - Balboa 2000 /coleman 502

The heater in our Coleman502 spa does not working.

Current symptoms are:

No heat AND No heat-light on the control-panel but also no error-codes.

All other functions working properly (jets, temperature-setting, modes-switching…)

The circuit-board is a Balboa 2000LE M-7 TUV.

First diagnosis today:

No output voltage measured on the heater outputs.

Checking the heater it is ok (3.0 kW/240 VAC) => Ohmmeter shows ca. 18 Ohms

I’m thinking maybe the heater-relay K2 on the pcb is stuck in the open-position, but

I am not sure, because the heater-light in the Control-Panel also don’t light.

Does anybody have an idea?

I have the ability to repair this myself, just need to know what needs replacing, the

Spa is out of warranty.

Thanks a lot for helping.

Make sure that model controller does not have a sleep mode. If it does turn it off and see heater works

@ ps558: Thx for the tip.

Switching the control-panel between STD,ECN and SLP in no modes the heater started, the msg ICE was also because the water-temp was below 45 °F .

I pumped up the water, the pool is completely empty, because we get this week snow and colder wheather and

will shift further investigations and diagnostics for later.

Don't forget to vacumm the lines... they freeze and crack fast.

Goto Balboa insturments on your computer. search for M-7

also, the sears elecrtic 200mph leaf blower gets ALL the water out of the lines.

Vacuum your tub, and then blow the last 1/2 gallon out with the blower.

make sure to remove the drain plug in the lower pump housings.

plan on getting wet.

disconnect both water lines from your M-7

Up....

Spring and Sommer are over - now was time to diagnosis and repair - problem solved!

1 of the 2 darlington-driver SN75468 on the M-7 TUV-Board was defect.

Maybe causes from problems with with power, because the power-connecter was switched inhouse and this switch made allways poweron-poweroff.

Now cleaned, filled and started well.

Waiting now for a new delzone reneval-kit spa-eclipse, then this job hopefully finished.

Thanks to all and greetings from Austria/Europe!
