  1. Goto Balboa insturments on your computer. search for M-7 also, the sears elecrtic 200mph leaf blower gets ALL the water out of the lines. Vacuum your tub, and then blow the last 1/2 gallon out with the blower. make sure to remove the drain plug in the lower pump housings. plan on getting wet. disconnect both water lines from your M-7
  2. Check the voltage between the water in the tub and earth with the GROUND wire disconnected. DON'T disconnect the common (white) wire. I have been fixing BALBOA VS series boxes for 4 years now, when the transformer goes bad the GFCI trips. thats the way balboa designed their internal wiring on their boards. skywalker did you read this person post ??? he said, I open the VS Series unit and pulled off all the external wiring (to motor, to top side unit, to light, to heater, ...etc) one at a time to eliminate a trouble source downstream, but the outdoor breaker kept tripping.
  3. f-4 controles the power to the transformer a few outher things. you need to find out if you have a short in the system of do you have "GFCI" trip from the transformer sending current to the ground wire. disconnect the GROUND wire. copper wire on the left outside of the box. power up tub. if it dosn't trip, then pour a cup of water on the earth and check to see how much voltage you have between the water on the earth. then do the same to the copper ground wire. if it 63 volts, then it the transformer. call balboa and get one of their $125 rebuilt boards. """0""" dip setting test mode leave down/OFF this has nothing to do with your problem """1""" dip setting small or large push button controler. on the keys single motor tub, this should be down/OFF
  4. Why don't you call HYDROSPA parts at 1-877-best spa that where I get all our HYDROSPA parts. Tell them you were refered by the HYDROSPA repairman in Washington State.
  5. I have been considering the Infinity Columbia sold through Costco - and following the pictures and positive buying experience described in this thread, I went back to Costco to pull the trigger. It appears that Costco has dropped the Infinity Columbia line, and has a statement saying that the Sun Peak is 'sold out'. Not sure what this means (i.e. did Costco have a bad experience with Infinity?) - but what ever will this Forum do without the Spa Community vs. Costco venting?????XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx Infinity went bankrupt after good old costco held back 3 million dollars. Dave would still be selling hot tubs if it wasn't for this reason. I have been fixing hot tubs sold by costco in Washington state for 3 years and costco is one of the SLOWEST payer out there. Now if you want your tub repaired by me then the tub owner pays me direct and they can go thru the BS getting paid by costco. 10 weeks waiting to get paid is too long. (i.e. did Costco have a bad experience with Infinity?) its costco wouldn't pay infinity , Keys & Hydrospa. all three of these tub makers were put out of BIZ by costco. I hope that CalSpa's has read the writing on the wall cause costco will be screwing that company soon.
  6. Costco and AMEX I fixed a lady 2010 in Forks, Wa last Dec. She was getting the cold shoulder from costco day oneon her broken 2010 but one day she read her AMEX yearly agreement ( what you pay for) and called them... AMEX said to have it fixed asap and pay for it. Then call, and then fax the PAID bill to them. 2 hours later AMEX called and said that (done deal) the money in her personal bank account. if your in the northwest then PM me. save those phone numbers... 1.. drain tub 2. look at how the value part turns inside the enclouser 3. while sitting in a puddle of waterput put both sets of you fingers into the value 4. turn value full to the left with presure from both hands, push then pulling up . 5. do the same to the right. turn left max with turning pressure still applied.... pull up repeat to the right. I made a wood tool so I could remove while full then reglue the nozzels and let the owners put them in. NEVER """"RUN """" MOTORS DRY. !!!!!!!!!! The water is what cools the glass seals good luck.....
  7. need HYDROSPA parts, then call Hydrospa 1-877-best spa.\ look them up on the web search hydrospa parts. tell them you need the VOLCANO jet for the 2020 and that I sent you to them. OR take the parts out 1 chrome ring 2. center nozzel jet gray part 3. the GUTS white parts glue them back together ( slow setting PCV cement works best ) (clear) put it back in the enclouse and enjoy. next time """DON"T STEP ON THE CENTER JET !!!!!! if you need the backrest then order them now cause Costco is covering these parts too, Were ordering 30 complete sets for our many clients. contact your Costco and see if they will pay you back for these parts. If you bought this tub using AMERICAN EXPRESS, call their custumer service dept and tell them you can't get any help from costco. were fixing Hdyrospa,s on a daily basis and getting paid in the northwest.. COD and American express is crediting their client within 24 hours. That must be pissing off costco. same goes for KEY & Infinity's too. If you need pumps motors or Balboa part then e-mail me cause i have a large garage full of hydrospa new parts for the 2010 & 2020's.
  8. If you can get a vacuum on the joint it may be possible to suck IPS primer first, and then IPS flexible glue, into the joint without removing the flexible pipe. It might be possible to block off the flex pipe with rags or compressible balls to apply the vacuum through the valve opening with the valve removed. The glue and primer would be applied from below the shell. The vacuum would be applied with a shop vac from above the shell I've just read about this technique on the web. I can't vouch for it. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Just be careful about the flammable fumes, cause the vacuum could explode. Don't laugh cause that is what happened to my 5 HP sears shopvac. The vacuum thing does work, just be careful...
  9. That brain box came 4.0kw heater coils and you can put 5.5kw coils in them. Balboa uses the same relay in both coils. Hot Tub Services trains their repairman for 2 weeks and that isn't enough time to teach any body that much... look to see if Hot Tub Services pluged the topside into the (top) plugin. if its pluged into the lower plug then it won't work. Next check to see that that connection is clean. then check the dip switch to see if Hot Tub Services reset the (dip switches) #2 should be down...""""panel options""" I fix a LOT of Hot Tubs in the N.W. after other service people think they fixed them...Just a few days ago, I serviced a HYDROSPA that a repair person changed the Circulation pump (last week) because the filters were pluged. I put the old pump back in, an then call the other service company and told the owner to come and get the (new pump) and give the spa owner their money back... YA there are repair people out there that just know how to take off the side covers. After that it lets see how many parts they can replace till the tub works again.... just got a phone call... that tub repair co. just picked up the new pump and gave this owner their money back....
  10. Clogged filters also cause the OZONE bubbles to stop coming out and is also one of the causes of the "Dr4 reading. Take out your filters and see what happens.
  11. Phone BALBOA in California and for $125.00 they will replace your curcirt board with a new one. What you have is the relay that turns on and off the heater is stuck in the on/closed position. Look up BalBoa Insturment on the web and call them this Monday. The relays (2) that opens when you have a overheat, are located to the left & above the heater relay. (lower left corner of the board.) the M7 board marks their relays. So from the lower left of your board the first relay is the (K4) "Hi Limit" relay Next to it is the heater relay (this is the one your having problems with) and above the heater relay is the other (K3) "Hi Limit" relay. This relay is made by : ZETTLER #AZ2120-1A-15DF (IF ITS A OPEN FACE RELAY, NO COVER) If its got a cover on the relay then its a (ZELLLAR #AZ2160-1A-15DEF) I repair these all the time and the relay is not that hard to change. GOOD LUCK. Don't try to change this relay if your not good a soldiering cause most of the time people just screw up the board. keep us informed.
  12. Like I said in my last post "If you bought it from COSTCO then go talk to the store manager where you bought it." COSTCO held back a bunch of money from Dave (Infinity Spa's) and will pay to have your tub fixed. Some company called "hot tub services" is supposed to be fixing them but they haven't called or fixed anything yet in our area. So in N.W. Washington State, Im fixing Hydrospa, Keys and Infinity for Costco......I like fixing tubs for COSTCO, cause they PAY ON TIME !!!!!!!!!!! If you got your tub from Sam's or Home Depot then GOOD LUCK !!!!! I hear sad stories from Home Depot tub owners all the time.
  13. More then likely your tub has two (A.O. SMITH) ultimax 4.0 hp 240VAC motors. one motor operates as a 2 speeds and the other is a 2 speed motor and just runs at high speed. Some Infinity's use 6 HP motors but the testing method is the same... The tubs from Texas used lots of them 4.0 hp ultimax's 1. remove the side cover 2. restart hot tub. turn on both motors 3. when the motor shut down, touch the side of each motor. one of them should be HOT !!!! we change a LOT of them 4.0 hp Mexican motors DON'T run these motors run dry or you will kill the pump in seconds !!!!! If you bought it from COSTCO then go talk to the store manager where you bought it. If you bought it from somebody else then GOOD LUCK..
  14. I think if you investigate and research from folks who know tubs you will find a whole lota facts in all my statements. But you missed my October 11th post regarding Infinitys future. Here I will repost it. I'm afraid I was wrong in this one, they tanked in a month not a year!! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx Roger, Dave knew that it was over when He had sold his Ford GT in Aug. He told me (sept) that he blames the BOX STORES for holding back all the money. So Roger, Who is next ???? you can PM me if you don't want to post RWSP
  15. If your lucky enough to have bought your Spa/hot tub from COSTCO. There is good news... COSTCO holds back money from these hot tub makers Hydrospa-Keys-Infinity. And their ready to spend it on tubs that they sold !! I own the Warranty Hot Tub ONLY service company in N.W. Washington, and have been fixing thse 3 companys tubs for COSTCO for years.. Now with this new company called "Hot Tub Services" that is in the process of trying to figure out how they are going to fix all these COSTCO hot tub & have no idea what they are up against.. If you are a GOOD SPA repair service person, then you should go talk to your COSTCO store manage cause Hot Tub Services hasn't returned any of our e-mails or phone calls. and COSTCO wants these tubs fix and COSTCO doesn't like its client having to wait..... IF YOU BOUGHT YOUR TUB FROM COSTCO, THEN TALK TO YOUR COSTCO STORE MANAGER. OR TRY CALLING HOT TUB SERVICES...... Tell the store manager that you want your tub fixed NOW !!!!!!!!! buy local & keep the money in your town !!!!!!
