Ron
Ok, I admit it. Every once in a while I am a knuckle head, lol. Opened the cover Saturday night meaning to get in for a while. Got distracted, forgot about it and knodded off. Woke up and went to bed totally forgetting the cover was open. It was open for around 7 hours. Was 45 degrees when I woke up at 7:00 and closed it. Anyone besides me ever have that happen or am I the lone bone brain? Also, never thought about it till now but can it do any damage (besides the dollars I wasted in electricity)? First hot tub here, got my Grande around May. Thanks. Ron
Dr. Spa
Been there, done that............. Though I had been visited by a large mob of VERY thirsty raccoons, till I realized that the 4" of water lost overnight was due to evaporation. Ok, I admit it. Chas
I have come home and found it open on windy days. I have a "Cover Upright" so I only have to snap one tie-down and it stays put during the windy times of the year. Once I came home and looked out to see that I (or some family member) had left the cover unlocked on an extremely windy day. I was glad to see it was closed though. However, later that evening I went out to enjoy a soak only to find the tub was full of leaves twigs and debris: the wind must have opened the cover, swept my patio and lawn into the tub and then closed the cover for me. How nice.
spatech (the unreal one)
Anyone besides me ever have that happen or am I the lone bone brain? Of course I've never done that. I've also never went to add a couple inches of water, started a fill, forgot and left it running a couple hours. There are probably a couple other bonehead moves I've never done but I can't think of them right now.
Chas
I've also never gone to add a couple inches of water, started a fill, forgot and left it running a couple hours.Try doing that in a spa store showroom sometime if you want to feel like a REAL bonehead.
