JackVa1
My Mineral canister still has some in it when I shake it. It's been 5 months and the canister says replace after 4. Should I replace it or use til it runs out? What test kit reading will tell me if my Mineral is out? Thanks
Dr. Spa
You could leave it in there for YEARS and there will still be mineral pellets in there. But the pellets become depleted in a few months. There's no test for the minerals.
JackVa1
If there is no test, and they are crystalized, I will change the cartridge. Thanks for the advice. I believe my Bromine leaves a little in the cartridge too.
WaterBeast
If there is no test, and they are crystalized, I will change the cartridge. Thanks for the advice. I believe my Bromine leaves a little in the cartridge too. I replace mineral at 4 months per recommendation, and try to use the bromine up as much as posssible. I replace it when setting it to '6' and banging it around periodically no longer keep my bromine at a desirable level. If I will be travelling I'll replace it earlier to avoid the risk of too little sanitization while I am away.
