Condensation Or Leak Around Filter

Just got a "free" thermospa hot tub. I put it on a level area and filled it with water yesterday. After the first night I noticed water on the filter housing. Is this condensation or a leak? I do not have the cover completely on tight. I just have it resting on the hot tub. There was a slight rain last night as well. I can not tell if the water level in the tub has gone down. It has only been 18 hours or so. Is something that I should wait and see if there is going to be more water? Is it common to have condensation on the filter housing? If it is a leak, I assume it will only get worse when I run power to it.

So I just noticed that once the water in the tub dropped below the top seal of the square intake line going into the filter everything dried up. This line is only about an inch below the top edge of the tub. I can see where the white square piece is not sealed around the top edge. Understand? Is this okay? Should I leave it or should I remove the thing and reseal it?
