bovine
Alright - this is my first post and it is not a happy one. I drained my Hot Springs Spa today just doing routine care, but I did not secure the power. It looks like it was aerating, for about an hour with no water. Im an idiot so please, no need to reiterate that point, but could someone please tell me how bad this could be?? The pump comes on but after about 2 minutes it starts to squeal. Thanks in advance! Ken You may just have air in the pump. Loosen the upper fitting to the pump ever so slightly until you see water seep out (hopefully you'll hear air "hiss" out when it is loosened). Hand tighten it, give it power and see if that makes a difference.

Ken If bleeding the air out does not work....If the pump/impeller is still turning you may just need seals, if not the bearings may be shot. The pump will get very hot when running without water, cross your fingers!
