MO6
Hi. We are considering a 20x45 ft vinyl pool. We were interested in 20ft steel steps on one end with the vinyl liner going over them. The pool company that we are talking to said that although they look really nice, they are very slippery. Has anybody found this to be true? We were also thinking of a salt generator. The pool guy said that for this size pool that we would need two of them--that one would not be able to produce the amount of chlorine that we would need. Does that seem right? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
WetScapes
The LM3-40 from Zodiak will handle up to 40.000 gal. As far as steps go, I always glue down wall foam on the treads, under the liner, to help give some traction. Some copmanys offer a textured liner for steps. Don't know if that is of interest to you or not, but thought I'd throw it out there....
Interpool
I have a steel step and steel bench...both with decent foam under the liner. No problems. Do keep the chemistry in control (algae can make anything slipperier). Steel steps can make the overall pool perimeter look a bit more natural. Enjoy.
