Winterizing A Arctic Spa

Recommended Posts

Hi

could anybody give me some advice on how much work

is involved in winterizing a Arctic Hot tub ?

How long does it take ?

Would that be something I could do on my own

after I have seen a expert doing it once.

I can not use the tub in the wintertime, so I have

to do that.

Thanks

Pick it up over your head and shake it so all the water comes out!!

It's not that bad, you just have to ensure all the water is out of the system. Shop vac sucking and blowing, drain plugs pulled from pumps, unions open, whatever it takes. We've actualy tipped them towords the equipment side to help. Yea maybe watch the guy once, but if it's cheap to have experience do it, might be worth the cost.

Hi Spa Guru

I like the idea with the "shaking" so probably it could be

done in one hour or so..... ?

( imagining myself shaking the tub over my head  )

You must be a he-man (or he-woMAN) to like that idea. Seems pretty logical to me. Treat it the same as you do the koolaid pitcher.

LOL. Roger, behave.

From the FAQ on the Arctic Spas site (always a good place to check!) How do I winterize my Arctic Spa?

You can also download an owners manual from www.arcticspas.com which will contain information that may be more specific to your model year.

You think I'm kidding Tom!! Ask Chas, he does the same thing!

We have a machine on our production floor that does just that. Vacuum hoses are attached at specified points. The machine grabs the spa, picks it up, and rotates it. No shaking, though.

And yes, I think you're kidding, Roger. <_<
