shallaje
Building new pool in NY area. I have 3 small children. I know the most common thing people are using is Salt Chlorinator. But is this the best? Also been told Ozonator is good, also UV. Don't know what to do. Just want it to be easy and safe. Less hands on for me the better. I will also have a robot, don't know if that matters. Thanks John
waterbear
Both ozone and UV are supplimental systems that still need a residual sanitizer in the water. For an outdoor pool chlorine is your best choice. Using a SWG to produce the chorine is an excellent way to do this! IMHO, ozone is not the best choice for a pool, it's more effetive in a spa and UV is unnecessary for an outdoor pool that is exposed to sunlight but is beneficial in an indoor pool to help control combined chloramines.
