  1. If you need help with water chemistry I would suggest you take a sample of your spa water to a local pool or spa dealer, most offer free water test. If you have had the spa since June and not drained it yet you probably should do, in this case take a sample of water from the tap you are going to fill the spa up with, and start from scratch. Once you have gotten into a routine with your water chemistry you will start to really enjoy your spa....Guzz
  2. That is a great price on a Sovereign, can't comment on the others though.
  3. ThermoSpas claims to have a 10 year no-fault electronics warranty & 20 year shell warranty???
  4. Yes you can stain it and you will not void the warranty.
  5. Your spa serial # is documented with Watkins, that is your proof of purchase and warranty.
  6. Ozone is nice to have but not something you have to have, if you are around to put a dose of chlorine in the spa on a regular basis, you will be fine, ozone is good for people who are too busy or not around to look after their spa, or just like less maintenance.
  7. Yes this may be true, but what we are saying is you are less likely to get a leak in a full foam spa, I have many customers that have had their spas for 20 years and never had a leak.
  8. That is a fair price for the Prodigy, you could wire it 110v which would be a less expensive hook up, either way, you bought a great spa.
  9. Congratulations, you got a great deal, enjoy your Envoy.
  10. I would'nt let you buy from me, I don't step into other dealers territory
  11. If this is a 2005.5 grandee, the Tri-ex filters come standard, he's not giving them to you unless it's the earlier model, the new one has the double moto massage. The price for that model is fair. go with the Fresh water ozone expext to pay 3-$400 for ozone, pre-filter and silver ion. Spaudio will knock you back $16-1800 but can always be added later. In mho the grandee is a GREAT spa and will last you a lifetime.
  12. I wonder how long the $75 fee will be ok with the dealer with gas prices as they are, I would charge you $300 for a 2 hour travel at least, thats a 4 hour journey plus labour time, say an hour, thats 5 hours. Plus your dealer is cutting in on someone elses territory.
  13. I agree, think about an inground swimming pool, all the plumbing is buried, leaks are a rarity, because the plumbing is held firm by the earth. I speak from experience, I never had a leak in an inground pool but I've had three this year in my above ground pool, because the plumbing is hanging free, full foam reduces the chance of leaks, saves you money, saves you time, and gives you peace of mind.
  14. Check with your dealer, they normally registar it for you, you can also registar online at the HotSpring Web site.
  15. Congratulations, you got a GREAT spa at a GREAT price, where do you live?
  16. Very ingenious Helping Hand, do you have a patent for that?
  17. You mean not everybodys rich on Long Island? I thought it was mandatory to be able to live there. You may be able to find a distant dealer to sell you a spa, (I would'nt) but then you are probably going to have to pick it up and find someone who will service it for you.
  18. Just because one person said that it's the best does'nt mean it is. Most of the major manufacturers use full foam, do a search on the subject, this has been a hot topic to the point that nobody wants to discuss it any more. I stick to my original quote " You need some form of insulation"
  19. Leave it on, it helps it keep it's shape. Soak the filter in a filter clean product or use the instant spray on stuff and rinse off.
  20. Where do you live? Sorry did'nt see the last line, so you're in the north east, if you like the Accolade you may want to also check out the Tiger River Caspian it has a lot of the same features and should be in the same ballpark price wise.
  21. Sorry I am not familiar with that brand, my advice would be to shop around so you can compare them to what else is available in your area, that way you will be more informed when you make your decision. Try to get a copy of the warranty & make sure they can back it up, do they have a service department or is a sub-contractor doing the work.
  22. Try this site: http://www.intheswim.com/Pool-Equipment/Ja...-Pool-Products/ for info on jacuzzi pool products
  23. Check out Sequoia Spa Shelters at www.sequoiaworks.com they do a really good quality product, we have sold them in our store for several years and been very happy with the quality, you will have to find a dealer in your area that carries them.
