  1. You have to add sanitizer every time you use the tub (maybe every other time with Nature2 and ozone) and oxidize weekly. Okay I just bought a bottle, I will try it out for a full month and let everyone know what I think/my experiences Thanks! hottublady
  2. They are suppose to be Lab tested and certified to comply with California certification requirements. You have a specific example where you feel the information is wrong? I will be glad to forward it to the California Energy commision for comment. I don't understand how to read that chart
  3. Wow, I was quoted $169, but on my small tub it should last 6 months?
  4. We evaluated it in our stores for about 4 months and decided to start selling it 2 weeks ago. I've already gotten 18 customers using it and so far, so good. The HotSpring Grandee at my store is set up on it and the water is beautiful. I got to work early and sat in it while enjoying a cup of coffee and now I'm fixin' to go hop back in and enjoy some Shiner Bock while I celebrate a great selling day! Terminator So do I really never have to test the water again?? It just sounds too good to be true???? I have a jetsetter and its really easy to maintain. Do I still have to use the mineral stick, chlorine and shock?
  5. I've been crusing the web and came across this site http://www.silkbalance.com/ does anyone know anything about this?
  6. I want to thank everyone for their replies.... Even though I stated I wanted to hear from people who own this product.... Which I haven't... Anyways, I am now convinced it is just easier to buy him a sauna, no chemicals, no maintence same benefits.
  7. Let this be a reminder to everyone out there. Be good to your children. Hug them, tell them you love them and support them thru there lives. Laugh at there knock knock jokes, and dont get upset about milk that has hit the floor. Do whatever you can to pick them up when they fall down, make a mistake or simply need a shoulder to cry on. For as it is always said, when you get old they will treat you the same way that you have treated them, Or worse!! they could buy you a spa in a box... Wow... I thought it would be nice to spend $1000 on my dad... Guess no one else does...
  8. Seattle??? so yes? I'm just looking for something that he could enjoy the hot water and sooth his aches, and use it from time to time... I have mentioned a real hot tub...but he doesn't know how long he is going to live there and would like something he could pick up and take to his girlfriends... I realize this is not a quality hot tub... I have a hot spring myself...And one more question... Does anyone know how noisey these things r?
  9. I have been searching the web, and I came across the Spa in a Box on walmart and other websites. The reviews sound good... 10. Sounds like a good deal to me, from looking around on the internet http://www.orhotspringspas.com/outlet.php some of those tubs on there are older and smaller. What does the $3500 include?

  13. That looks incredible! You got a good tub!
  14. I believe its all about the type of hot tub you have depending on the electric bill... I keep mine between 104-106 (my boyfriend likes 106) and right now my tub is running around $15 a month but in summer around $12.. I have a 8 year old Hotspring Jetsetter (small tub, 3 seater)
  15. Awesome Deal! That sounds like your buying the tub at cost??
  16. How much did it cost for all the supplies?
  17. Hi, spatech, Thanks for that information. It does change my outlook somewhat. I haven't met the husband, but based solely on his invisible dealings, I agree with you. I was even prepared to have my electrician friends do the work, but didn't offer because we haven't got that far. Besides, my friends would probably mess up the siding. I was supposed to have heard last night or this morning regarding whether or not they are willing to contribute $100 toward the purchase of a new subpanel by knocking $100 off the price of the spa (whoopie!), but nothing so far. I may be completely misjudging them, but it wouldn't surprise me to learn they had contacted their buyer in second place to see if he would offer a higher price because I asked about the $100. It's their spa; I suppose they have every right to sell it for as much as they can get. I told the wife that I wouldn't get into a bidding war but would give the full asking price (this was of course predicated on getting the subpanel with the spa as she represented). I wouldn't do that to someone, but her hubby might. Ah, well. We'll see how it all goes. Rae Hey Rae! I hope they give you that subpanel or work with you to get another... When I originally got my "Jetsetter" wired up, I was told if I didn't use the HS one my tub could potentially overheat and ruin the heater! Good Luck and let us know~
  18. I think thats a great price! Here is a link to a dealer selling a 06' Envoy for A LOT more! http://www.orhotspringspas.com/outlet.php Happy Soaking! Hottublady~
  19. Oh my gosh that is sooo scary & sad.... Do you think she got the infection from a hot tub?

  22. You are totally RIGHT!! These people are being unreasonable... Don't go to a lexus dealership and ask for a kia price it doesn't work that way... And all the dealers out there who are giving huge disounts to make sales won't last in this economy and they will be stuck with a tub with no support. Now for the companies who do charge a little more... They will make it during these tough times and the customers who deceided to buy from them will still have service and support from their dealer... everyone else will be SOL!!! And for the "Big Box" store... Hot Springs did sell a tub through costco for a little under 3 years... The people who bought this tub for roughly $6000 had to pay an extra $150-$200 to have it moved from the drive way to their spot, $200-$475 for a subpanel made by HS, $99 for chemicals, $450 for HS ozone system, $225-$450 for a cover lifter, $60-$200 step. So ball park total is over $7000, and their warranty is only a year long that covers parts not labor or trip charges. And the only reason I know this is because my neighbor bought it! If someone thinks thats a great deal go right ahead... But Hot Springs ended up pulling out that tub because it didn't sell many at all!! The people who were smart figured that its better to go with a local dealer which is most cost effective in the long run.... Anyhoo... Happy Soaking~hottublady~
