  1. Hey JR, I would call there service department and ask if they would consider covering the part, and you could pay or do the the labor yourself. I work with the tech support team at D1 Spas and knowing the details of the multiple issue, I would have made that offer to save the relationship. It is unfortunate that you have had these issue, I would also be interested to know if there have been issues with the power grid in your area. I wouldn't bash any other spa manufacturer or product, I would only suggest thatyou try to work it out with a manager or someone at the next level at Marquis.I would be really bummed if I were in th same situation. Just my opinion. Dennis (Tech Rep @ D1 Spas)
  2. I would never consider a used tub without watching run for at least a week, and even then I would remember the warranty is likely not transferable. Ususally when it sounds too good to be true, it ususally is not all that good, at least in my experience. Have a look at D1 Spas in your area, if you would like I can put you in touch with someone to help you out. Good Luck in the search, Dennis

  4. Hey Spatech, I'm not sure what you mean real tactile therapy, but I will include a picture of what it looks like. Please let me know what you think, would you consider it real or marketing lingo? http://www.d1spas.com/images/hottubs/journ...ey_footwell.jpg
  5. Here are a couple of shots of the "Journey" that show in a little more detail.
  6. I would like to know who suggested cutting the spa in half and putting it back together, that is not even remotely possible. As most in this forum will agree, yoou havethe following options. 1. Remove the wall 2. never use the spa again and cut it into small enough pieces to fit through a 36" opening. Personally option number one makes the most sense to me..!
  7. I would recommend having the dealer winterize the spa, they need to vaccum the lines and pour a ton of RV antifreeze in the lines. This will save you a lot of headaches in the long run..! When in doubt, have a pro do it..!
  8. Hi Dennis, the tub looks nice for what it is. I guess it all depends on what price it will sell for. Would i be right in saying this will be the new entry level tub just below the cove? Also does it not have a circulation pump and what are your thoughts on this because D1 have always been very "pro circ pump". The Journey has the option for an aftermarket ozone system, in which case a circulation pump could be added as part of the Clearzone Water Management System. You are correct it will be part of the already well established @Home line and be a great addition to the D1 Product line.
  9. Thanks Mark, we feel it will do extremely well, by the way I forwarded your other feedback to our designers. Thanks again.
  10. Hey guys what kind of feedback to you have on the overall look of the spa?
  11. I wouldn't buy it without seeing it hold water, and seeing if the unit will fire up is key. I would also try to find out about replacementy parts availability. Tread lightly, especially when dealing in used spas.
  12. thanks for replay but sommer mode is 15 gr celcius and 60 farenheit and not 100 or 107 f and the heting stay off in sommer mode the temperture of the circulation motor makes the water stil more hot than 107 f an motor with saparated transport for water or spool makes a lot better i have heurt that an plastic motor is mayby an solution or an motor that stay cool for water i know its a hot spas but to hot is an problem to cool it til normal temperature 100 degr farenheit a rubber part of one inch between cover and spas is a little solution because its make my window of my swimming poolcover misty to day its 22 gr celcius here in holland but my spas go to 39 g celcius in sommer mode hope you wil understand my problem gr kees I guess I don't understand. Try setting the temperature for 16C and make sure that your filter cycles are not set for more that 2 times a day for an hour. That should help out, let me know if that makes sense to you.
  13. Summer mode will heat the spa to 107 F before the circ pump shuts off. Try lowering the setpoint to 60F and that should help.Remember it is a hot tub, not a cold tub.The spa will never cool to below the ambient air temp. The spa will continue normal filtration regardless of the circulation pump. The spa will take awhile to cool down, since the spa is fully insulated it has great heat retention properties. If you have any more questions feel free to send me a message. Dennis Tech Rep D1 Spas.
  14. It looks nice. I like is better than the Dream Maker, and Watkins round spas. It looks alot like a Nordic Hot Tub, and better jet placement then a Maax 103 model We really feel good about this addition, it look alot like the Arena that D1 has been making for 32 years. But this spa offers more jets and a nearly bulletproof control system. Thanks for the feedback PS558..!
  15. Well I guess we'll have to let the users decide, wet test it and see what you think Markee..! The price is not something that a Tech Rep is involved in but from what I hear it is very well priced.
  16. This is d1dennis2009 from Technical Support from D1 Spas, just thought you would like to see the latest innovation from D1 Spas. This spa is wicked is cool and definitely take you on a "Journey" to a new level of relaxation. Check it out you will be amazed at the new designs incorporated in this product. It is a 120/240 convertible plug and play spa that fit nicely in anyones budget. http://www.d1spas.com/pdf/specifications/journey-hottub.pdf Enjoy..!
  17. That is a good price. Just make sure that it is still considered "new" so that you are getting a full warranty (in writing). If he buy the spa from a dealer he would get a full warranty on that spa..! He would begin the warranty at the time of installation. He would be getting a great deal on a great spa.
  18. Thank you David, it is nice to be able to a help out when ever possible. D1 Management has alway encouraged our team to interact in what ever way possible. When we can help we do, please keep me posted if you need further assistance. Again I appreciate the good feedback..! Dennis
  19. That is a extremely good deal, that is one of our best selling spas and you would be thoroughly happy.
  20. I would agree with Pete, the operating cost and and form and fit are the main factors that should be considered. I would suggest wet testing any spa that you consider, and also check into how long the dealer has represented the product line. There are alot of good spa manufacturers out there, but there are fewer great ones.
  21. My recommendation is to go with the dealer that is closest to your installation location, but either way you will be getting a great spa. Best of luck.
  22. You definitely should consider wet testing any spa you plan to purchase, the Chairman II is a great spa and I'm sure that it would exceed your expectations. It has been an extremely durable and reliable tub for many years. I would suggest you do your research an select the spa the best fits your needs. Choose D1 Spas, you wont be disappointed..! Dennis Porter
  23. There are many spas companies out there (good and not so good) but I'd put Marquis and D1 in the top 10 so you are looking at good brands. Try to wet test as many of those models you mentioned as you can as that will etll you a lot. Florida Guy, Any questions regarding the spas in the D1 line, I would be happy to answer. The best waty to come to a decisions is to wet test the spas, and pick the one best suited to you and your needs. Best of luck..!
