Water Is Green/it's Not Algae

Hi guys, I'm new here, I registered because I'm having problem with my pool.

First off, It's an interior inground pool.

Everything was going fine until the piping of my heaters broke, Wich made it stop working. After We repaired everything, We noticed the pH was kinda high, So after some test my local Pool store recommended this :

It's called Eco Alk (sorry description in french), It's basiclly just some stuff to regulate the pH. Before adding this the water was crystal clear, But when we added it, the water turned green instantly.

So I went back to the local Shop, They told me the pH was alright, But he didnt know why the water was green, So he told me to use a algae killer. He sold me this stuff called Poly 40 from the same manufacturer..

Anyway, after trying to threat it with chlorine and the solution for algae, the water is still Green in apparence. But If I take it in a bottle, The water seems to be translucid.

Any Ideas what it could be ? And what products I should look into? I'm tired going off with the advice the guy from the shop is giving me, he seems like he doesn't know what he's doing.

Eco-Alk is just baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and raises the Total Alkalinity (TA). If your water is a clear green, then it's probably copper (or iron against a blue background) at high pH. If you lower the pH and the water lightens or clears, then that will confirm it. If it were algae, it would either be cloudy green or you'd see visible clumped algae. Once you confirm that it's metal, then you should confirm whether it's iron or copper -- if you have a blue vinyl pool then it could be iron which is yellow which against blue looks green; otherwise it's more likely to be copper. Either way, you can use a metal sequestrant to help keep the metal in solution.
