I have a 1999 Hot Springs Grandee. The heater on light flashes on and off all the time and I have to reset at the box. I have replaced the Heater and it worked for awhile then slowly and gradually it would start flashing at 102 reset and then 100 then flash, 98 and flash, reset and flash. LOL I then replaced the thermistors both of them on the heater. Still same problem. Now after reset it flashes after only a few minutes no matter what the temp is set on. Any opinions?

I am at wits end.

Are we talking the HTR ON LED on the circuit board inside? Or are we talking about the "Green" or "Red" LED lights on the outside of the hot tub?

Have you tried removing the filter on the main circulation stand pipe? (This is the dirtiest filter, that sits on the hollow tube). If this filter is restricting water flow it will cause the Red & Green lights on the hot tub to flash and shut the spa down.

Also, have you consulted your local dealer for tech support? Or did you perhaps order replacement parts online? Just curious as to what your next step should be depending.

I am talking about the red light on the main control panel. I have tried the filters. Cleaned them several times and tried different filters on the Main Circ pump stand pipe filter. Have had two service people here and they are the ones that had me buy the parts online. They are scratching their collective heads as they can't figure out why it is doing this either. Any help or opinion is appreciated.

Don't switch filters - pull them out and reset power. See if you have flow from the circ pump - if you have ozone look for a stream of bubbles from the bottom drain - if no ozone look for a ripple on top of the water above the bottom drain.

If you have good flow it could be you got a bad high limit thermister from where you got it.

If it doesn't trip often then I would suspect the filter - leave it out and see if it trips.

Okay, so it is indeed the "Power" Light on the hot tub. Try the things Peteyboy recommended first. At this point, there could either be a problem with the high-limit thermostat or an issue with the heater relay. But since it's causing a power light to flash, I'm guessing a thermostat issue.

Thanks guys have tried all of the above. Have replaced both Thermistors coming off the Heater to the board. Will order two new ones just in case the ones I bought were bad. I am running out of options other than to try and replace the circuit boards which I was trying to avoid. due to costs.

Are you sure there is good flow from the circ pump?

Dan,

How do you tell what "good" flow is from the circ pump? I just bought a 2000 Jetsetter and sometimes I get bubbles and sometimes I don't. I want to make sure I have good enough flow before buying a replacement ozone generator. No bubbles means even a new ozoninator won't work, right?

thx
