  1. Will do, Pete Like I said, I'm afraid of disturbing anything since it finally settled down! bob
  2. Thanks, Pete So, I don't have to remove the IQ controller or the circ pump? thx bob
  3. Hi Guys, What is the simplest (less equip. removal) way to remove the FW 2 Ozonater? It's really tight in there and I'm afraid to disturb any more than I have to! The spa is full, if that helps? thx bob
  4. Yeah, but the wiring is set up for 40 amps, right? wire sized to load? We had a LA Spa, 240 only, 2 pump spa running on this breaker for years with no problem. bob
  5. Thanks, guys I'm in a mild (SF Bay Area) climate. Jut realized that I only have a 40 amp 240 breaker available. Deal Killer? thx bob
  6. Hi Guys, What the cheapest way to convert my 2000 Jetsetter to 240? Buy the HS part or build a box? thx bob
  7. Let's see if it keeps going. Make sure you have a good flow of bubbles from the heater return (bottom drain). So far so good. Pete, it seems to happen when I have the front panel off. I thought maybe it's just coincidence because I'm there but it seems to go fine for days if leave the panel on? Is that crazy or does that sound like something that could cause the pump to shut down? thx bob Crazy coincidence. Shucks, I spoke to soon. Panel on, lost my bubbles again. Should I just get a new E-5? Are they better than the 5000? thx bob No bubbles. But do you have flow? Is your heater reset popping. Might not be circ pump at all. Yes, sometimes flow with no bubbles. Occasionally flashing red light but mostly flow with bubbles coming and going. The injector has been physically and chemically cleaned. The pump is 10 years old and I wonder if it's just getting tired? Do the magnetic drive pumps get intermittent when they are wearing out, unlike a direct drive pump? thx bob

  10. Still having problems even with new filter cart. Today I blew in the ozone line to force air into the pump and it started working? thx bob
  11. Yes they run 24/7 - you might have it in summer mode - is there a little "summer timer" icon in the bottom right of the display? If so you are in summer mode and the circ pump will turn off for 8 hours a day. Nope, not summer mode. The pump does come back on after a short while, 30 mins or so. Almost like a reset? bob Pull the filters and see if that makes a difference. The newest circ pumps are self priming and will turn on and off if not primed. Thanks I put a new cart in today and will see what happens. thx bob

  13. On my 2000 Jetsetter, If I have the door off I sometimes hear a relay click and the circ pump shuts down. green and red lights are on. I was clearing the ozone injector when this happened. Do the circ pumps run continuously on this model? thx bob
  14. guru, What exactly causes the up/down movement on the MM jet? It's a very unique jet ( that's why I wanted a HS!) Is outlet on the nozzle angled? thx bob
  15. Sorry for the confusion, Pete. There is plenty of air and water coming out of the MM, the airline tube is connected, and the jet moves freely up and down by hand. It's full of water and I haven't tried the "dangle" test yet. thx! bob The spa is 10 years old and if thats teh original tube its time for a change. Its a simple change and probably what is needed. Thanks. Do you mean change the small air tube? Can I try just the tube if everything else seems fine (Good air/water flow)? Not trying to cheap out but don't want to replace the whole jet ($125) if I don't have to!! thx bob
  16. Looks like I'm getting good flow now. bubbles and If I pull the tubing off the Mazzei injector, I'm getting suction now instead of water dripping out. I know the rep a Del and will probably try an MC-50 as a replacement. thx bob ps: I can't believe how this JS is holding at 102°! The ready light is always on

  18. Thanks, Pete I'll check that later. I *think* that it did not have air coming out when turning the air control. Air came out of the other jets. What does that mean? thx bob
  19. Dan, How do you tell what "good" flow is from the circ pump? I just bought a 2000 Jetsetter and sometimes I get bubbles and sometimes I don't. I want to make sure I have good enough flow before buying a replacement ozone generator. No bubbles means even a new ozoninator won't work, right? thx bob
  20. Hi guys, 2000 HS Jetsetter. All jets have great flow. The MM jet has "good" flow but won't go up and down. I looked for the small airtube to be disconnected but it is attached. Not sure what the black o-ring does? The jet feels very floppy and flexible but won't go up and down. Air control is wide open and does work on other jets on that circuit. I don't mind replacing if I have to but would rather fix if possible. What does go wrong with these and to what extent can they be repaired vs replacing? thx, bob
  21. Pull your filter out and see if the flow increases. Check the fuse again on the Ozone unit - every used one I run into keeps blowing fuses - at that point it is toast. JED makes a nice and reasonably priced ozone. Are you getting a stream of bubbles from the bottom drain? If not then you will not smell the ozone. Keep in mind if your hooked up 110V it will only heat 2 degrees per hour and you won't feel much heat from the return. Thanks again, Pete. I replied at the other forum but just in case: "It seems to be working. It ran for quite a few hours and then was flashing again. I reset it and it has ran all night, is now at 97° (20hours later) This is my first HS so I'm not sure but the flow seems really low in circ. mode. There is no visible action in the skimmer and only after removing the stand pipe did I feel some suction when putting my hand on the opening. Is that right? To go along with that thought, there is no venturi action at the Ozone tee. Water actually drips out w/ the pump running. I tried to gently clear with a paper clip but no difference." No, there are no bubbles coming out the bottom and yes, the Ozone fuse is blown and the fuse holder is dorked now and won't lock down (Freshwater II) What about the Del Eclipse or CD-16 as a replacement? thx bob
  22. Hi Guys, Long time pool service guy, here. Just bought a 2000 Jetsetter and have a few questions. Took a while to get the circ pump primed and only confirmed by htr light on main board and very little warm water drifting up from the bottom inlet. Can't even see water flowing through the clear hoses. Normal? Also, the freshwater II Ozone is not working. Fuse was bad, changed, can't smell anything. I tried to clear the venturi T at the ozone connection and with the circ pump running, water drips out of the T even after trying to clear with a paper clip. The nylon tubing to the ozonzator was full of water, too. ( bad check valve) So, I'm mainly wondering if I'm getting proper flow from the circ pump based on the above, and suggestions for the ozone? Buy a Dell Eclipse, etc? thx guys! bob aqua-tech pool & spa sj, ca.
