JohnP Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Is there a easy way to fix a broken threaded pipe part that the hex jet attaches to. Like an adapter or jet that mounts directly to the wall. Thanks in advance. Quote
Pool Clown Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 The only way to fix this right is to chip out around the old one and plumb in a new one. You need to have that jet pulling it's share of air to keep the rest of them working. Quote

Pool Clown Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 The problem with abandoning a jet is that you may not get the other jets to "pull air". You can see if it will work by taking the jet that screws in and block the hole in it somehow and screw it back in and see. You can't just plug the end of the pipe as that will send water coming out of the jet to be forced into the air line effectively killing the air to the other jets and killing any kind of force as well. I suppose the best way to try it would be to block both the jet and the end of the pipe, that is your best chance. Still may not work tho. Although it sounds involved, replacing the jet is the "best" way to fix this, sorry. Quote
