Can you not control the heater at the membrane pad? or are you getting a fault display?

I was not getting any fault display. It would say 180 then r6 and then turn off and go blank with no fault display (on the front also no service codes on the back would light up). I took out the control unit and moved the ribbon attached to the membrane around while pressing spa on and it fired up. I can only control it now by moving the ribbon around back and forth, the ribbon has a kink in it pinching the connections. I am wondering if there is a jumper on the control unit or a way to jump the ignition on without the membrane until I get a new one. The pump is on a timer to filter the water and I don't want to leave the heater on. Just want to turn the heat on when I go in.

I have only been able to get the membrane/ribbon already stuck to the top piece. But i hear that just the membrane will be available soon.

If you are able to turn off the heater by interrupting the power to it, then you can jiggle the wire (on the heater) till it turns on, then unplug the ribbon cable from the board the hot tub will heat up to the temp that you last set it to. Then when you don't want the heater to run, just interrupt the power to it.

Note: Not all heaters will be wired with an interrupt switch, in which case, you will need to get the parts right away if you want to run the heat.

Is this a Max-E-Therm? Does the membrane pad look like one of these?

I think that the part numbers are as follows:

42002-0029Z Switch Membrane Replacement (ASME) Sta-Rite

42002-0029Z Stack Flue Service Kit

472610Z Membrane Pad (NA, LP Series) Pentair Mastertemp

The Sta-Rite and the Pentair are the same part. Note that there seems to be a mistake in the numbering system for the Sta-Rite. The Stack Flue Service Kit has the same part number as the Switch Membrane Replacement
