SouthSpa Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 My hot tub came with a very basic bromine floating dispenser that would not properly regulate the release of bromine into the spa. Even when I had the dispenser set at its most restricted setting I would get too much bromine, as evidenced by the dark color on the test strip. I found a solution recently when ordering supplies. This dispenser works really well and I get a consistent bromine reading. Now I can load about 5 tablets in it so I don’t have to mess with it as often. With the cheapo version that came with my tub I would load 2 tablets and they would be gone in a couple of days, leaving way to much chemical in the water. only $7 http://www.spadepot.com/shop/Floating-Brom...er-P609C43.aspx Quote

Almost went to just a two step bromine program (no floater), but using this one cranked down to just allow a little bromine out works perfect. Also, I only put a couple of tablets in at a time. I started by using what the instructions indicated, but I got way too much bromine. Just a trickle seems to be perfect. SJ Quote
Hillbilly Hot Tub Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Thanks for the link, We have been looking for this type, my suppliers don't carry them, the ones we carry you have to unscrew the entire thing, I like that the bottom comes off, no I just need to find who the supplier/manufacture is so we can carry them in our store. Was there any info on the packaging to who makes these? Quote
