Aquapure 1400 2 Port

I have a Aquapure 1400 2 port cell. I am getting a code 125 / 194 while starting boost. At non-boost at 60% it gives no code or general fault status.

I have cleaned cell in acid numerous times with one time being overnite. No scale or despoits are visable on cells.

My pool builder/supplier says to replace cell to new 3 port ..without any remods needed. Forums seem to say you have to replumb?

While for some reason, I can still get the two port cells in my area, the consensus is that you have to get the new three port now. And yes re-plumb as the cell is a little longer than the old one. I don't know if the cell soaking in acid over night is the cause of your cell failure (cell probably died before you did that anyway), however the manufacturer does not recommended this for any reason.

Note for next time, if the cell does not fizz, the acid isn't going to help, except for accelerating the demise of this (new) cell. Half hour max. 4 parts water 1 part acid.

If this cell is still working at 60% let it continue, but realize you'll need a cell once you get the codes @ 60%. Start saving now for the cell.
