All-

Old Polaris booster pump threw a bearing, and decided to just replace the entire pump. Bought the Polaris-branded pump. Ran great for 2 months, then all of a sudden noticed it hadn't been running, probably for a few days. No noise, clicking, buzzing, anything. Checked the wiring under the hookup panel on the motor, and get what I * think* might be funny. Getting 110v from one hot to ground, 110v from the other hot to ground, but nothing from one hot to the other (where I would expect 220)... so does this tell me it's just a problem with the supply/panel because all of a sudden my 110s are in phase? Main pump still fine, but panel's quite old so something funny like this wouldn't surprise me.

So I'm thinking I just re-wire the pump for 110, and check my fuse ratings?

Thanks!

If it ran ok at first, I would check the breaker. You may have tripped one side of a double (220) breaker. It may not look tripped, possibly because the two are tied together. Fully reset the breaker and try again (off then on again).

Or, if you have had some wiring done recently, Your booster pump may have been "rewired", Both legs put on the same line, to accommodate another electrical appliance.
