BulkVanderhuge Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 I have a Jandy Aquapure 700. Recently my pool has turned a nasty shade of green even though I ran my pump longer than normal. I get a service code of 125 and 194. Then when I push the salinity button to silence the alarm, I get 123. I called a pool tech and he told me that I'd probably need to replace the cell, but he also looked like he was confused and didn't even check the voltage. He called Jandy and of course they told him to replace the cell. Is there anything else it could be before I shell out $450 and replump my pump? I already gave the cell an acid wash. Quote
Pool Clown Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Take the cell out and look to see if needs to be cleaned. All three of those codes suggest to clean and or inspect the cell. Quote
quantumchromodynamics Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 123-Low to no current at cell -check DC cord, clean cell or replace if necessary. 125-Cell needs to be cleaned or replaced. 194-Cell Current is 85% lower than desired and cell voltage above 19V (generates 125 code -Cell dirty or needs replacement). Take the cell and power cord in to a service center that can test them on a test unit. How old is the cell? Quote
