mikris Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Hi all, I have a Raypak Versa 135 WG-N heater that just recently stopped working. The pilot light is on but the main burner will not light. I have done a thorough cleaning of the area around the burner, tapped the pilot assembly to dislodge anything that might have been in there. The pilot does stay lit and it appears to have a strong flame that is blue in color. The pool has been vacuumed, filter backwashed and rinsed and both the skimmer basket and the pump basket are clean. The pressure coming out of the pool jet seems the same that it has always been. I tried using a jumper wire across the heater pressure switch with no change. If I put a jumper wire on the TH terminal and the TH-TP terminal the gas valve will open and the burner will ignite. If I do this the Heater/Spa switch doesn't have to be on for the burner to ignite. Any ideas as what to do as I certainly don't want to have to leave the jumper wire on whenever we want the heater on? Thanks in advance for any replies. Quote
Pool Clown Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Well your'e doing things right just in a different order. Do the same with the thermostat 1st and see what happens. Make sure the thermostat is all the way up to max heat. Quote

This was never an issue for us as we just turn it on when we wanted it on and turn it off when the pool was warm enough. I will try that though and see what happens and report back. Quote
