New to forum here. I have an above ground pool that when I backwash and rinse, when I go back to the filter port water continues to leak out of the backwash/waste port. I looked at a schematic of the valve and it shows a spider gasket. Could that be my problem, and if so, is it fairly easy to replace. If it isn't that, then any help would be appreciated.

I would start there, Or the spring that holds the handle up. You have to push the handle down to move the valve right? Put the valve into filter then hold the handle down with your thumb then let it snap back. That may clear any thing that might be interfering with the proper seating of the valve block in the housing. If that don't work then try a new spider gskt.

Thanks for the reply, Pool Clown. I'll try the thumb thing. If I replace the gasket should I order a new spring or anything else to replace when I take the top of the valve off?
